Hydration and Performance

A highly common health issue found in most of the adult individuals in the recent time. As per World Health Organization almost 422 million adult are diagnosed with Diabetes and the most common is type 2 Diabetes. In the Diabetes one should concentrate on the health condition of one of the important endocrine gland – Pancreas. High level of blood sugar (blood glucose) is result of rare or no production of insulin by your pancreas. Pancreas controls the two hormone – Insulin and Glucagon. One has to maintain close watch on the blood sugar level based on the current medication given by the doctor, exercise and diet given by the nutrition and fitness consultant. We will discuss here on exercise and diet to be taken care for the cure of Diabetes:

Diet:

A) Always add following in your diet : Dark Green Leafy Vegetables: i.e. Spinach, Kale.  Citrus Fruit: i.e. Oranges, Lemon. Sweet Potatoes, Tomatoes, Omega 3 Fatty Acids, Nuts, Milk

B) Always avoid following items in your diet: All type of Junk food, All Refined products, Sugar, Flavored juice, drinks, Alcohol

Exercise:

For most of the adults with Diabetes, to do the exercise is highly challenging job. I would suggest to add the following at minimum which will help the most effectively: Mandukasan (Frog Pose) : One of the best yogasan for the improving the health of Pancreas. A very simple asana which can be done in the morning, even if you had very limited time slot from your busy schedule. Do cardio at least for 20 minutes. You don’t need cardio equipment. You can just add walking, jogging or skipping. For alteast 2 days a week add some strength exercise. If you don’t have GYM membership or equipment at home, you can add bodyweight exercise like – Bodyweight squat, Push-ups, Surya-namaskar (Yogasan)

This basics will definitely help you to control your Diabetes as well to cure the same.
